Appreciation at Christmas
The festival of love is approaching faster than ever, and it is a good time to delight someone close to you with a gift. It can be of a material nature, but does not have to be. There are other ways to express appreciation for someone else, like with a compliment for example. With its Appreciation Week, WEFRA LIFE wishes to extend its gratitude to all those whose commitment is not always sufficiently honoured amid hectic day-to-day work. WEFRA LIFE will, as it does each year, be supporting a selection of associations with donations.
Christmas is approaching, and with it one of the year’s most significant festivals. It comes with an idea of expressing appreciation to fellow people in a visible, tangible or audible way. These people could be family or friends, or even helpful colleagues! To this end, WEFRA LIFE has launched Appreciation Week from 4 to 8 December 2023, where colleagues can express their gratitude to each other or send creative greetings in a wealth of ways. There is a physical Appreciation Wall – a pinboard in the cafeteria – as well as a virtual ‘wall’ to extend the reach to employees in other offices. ‘You can also leave a personal greeting with a greeting card and pastry and have that given out at the reception disk,’ explains Katharina Schmidmaier, Executive Assistant at WEFRA LIFE and part of the Appreciation Week project team.
Photo booth: greeting messages with a fun factor
Moreover, a photo booth set up in the cafeteria also offers a way to say thank you with originality. Using humorous accessories, employees can take a fantasy-filled snapshot first and then add a matching dedication to a colleague or even their team. Whether it is a thank you for always having an open ear, a wishing of a tranquil Christmas season or just a hug from afar, the choice is the employees’ to make. An initiative with a guaranteed fun factor for senders and receivers!Interpersonal relationships and sustainability in times of crisis
Especially in this era of crisis, it is associations and volunteers that make a difference and bring interpersonal care to life. For many people in this country, a non-material gift is not always enough. These people lack the necessities for everyday life.
For this reason, WEFRA LIFE has decided this year to give donations to two associations that help those affected by existential woes: the Offenbach food bank and a support organisation for children receiving organ transplants. On top of that, 550 trees have been planted at Planet Tree on behalf of WEFRA’s clients.
